To my wild Blade of Night

I hope this report finds you well as Abraxis carries it through the mist. It might be a bit shorter than usual. May I recommend you read it in the cosy seclusion of your bathtub to which only my untamed imagination can follow you…

As always, my blades have carried out your decree with fierce resolution. I have laid waste to their slave fort after squeezing out of them every single detail regarding her whereabouts. I shortened their fingers, arms, toes and legs, one by one, until there were just the torsos left. I stacked the extremities in orderly formation within the vaults in which they kept their unfortunate prisoners. Then I took their eyes and tongues, cut open their throats and severed their heads from their shoulders, so that everyone finding their impaled skulls will know that the wrath and vengeance of House Nightstride is nothing to be desired…

Oh, I am aware that you didn’t order me to act in such explicit manner. But I also know that rage is burning in your heart right now and only my blades can soothe it. Those blades will always try to comfort you, even, or better said, especially when times are dire. They drew plenty of blood, be certain of it…

But my thirst I shall save for your tender neck only. Tell me, are you wetting it with your milky bath water right now? Or did your sponge glide down into more… delicate regions already? You know your hands can never be as passionate about it as my tongue and fangs, yearning for those silent songs you sing to me in secrecy…

I will be with you soon again, my dearest Lady General. They are heading West, so I suggest we meet and reunite at the southern edge of the Triangle. Until then, I  shall anticipate my mistress with utmost impatience…

Your humble servant, the Raven Blade

Sign of the Raven: Release Trailer

“Sign of the Raven absolutely delivers on immersive, high fantasy world-building in a way that demands your full attention …. and honestly…. I loved that. This is not a “skim and vibe” kind of fantasy. You have to settle in, pay attention, and let the world unfold around you piece by piece. And once it does? It’s incredibly rewarding.”

Character Portrait: Radu

“Sign of the Raven” by Brynn Danu is a dark epic fantasy novel rooted in blood, inheritance, and perilous magic that scars not only the land, but the souls bound to it. The story unfolds with a purposeful pace, allowing power, violence, and consequence to shape the narrative as much as prophecy and fate

—Maissy

“From the very first chapter, I felt dropped into a layered, living world filled with ancient lore, political tension, shifting alliances, and magic that feels both dangerous and deliberate.
