Firav is a troubled character. Torn between ambition and madness, the dark Lords of Valalfyr have been whispering to him since he was a child. “You should rule,” is what they are telling him. Baroness Dragovaste’s son is the last living male descendant of the Witcher Kings, and his ancestry shines through him like a sinister spell.
Sadistic and deeply twisted is his nature, just like that of his ancestors. Needless to say that his animalis is but a tainted shadow of what it was meant to be. There is nothing pure left in the young warlock, despite his claims of purity to his lineage.
His mother recognised his imperfection at birth. That’s why she gave Firav his name, which means “weak” or “frail” in Romanian. A tragic choice, for his name would only motivate the young lord to prove his mother wrong in all the wrong ways imaginable. It certainly fuelled his striving for power and thus sealed his fate. Because a man would never rule over Rayan once again. Not after what his ancestors had done to the land. But instead of accepting the task of humbleness, Firav decided to make the matriarchy his enemy…
